This is one way to break my silence. I just got the announcement that Interweave Knitting Lab is happening again in the coming year. It was a very successful and educational event and I think they should do it every year. I have  Della Q hanging organizer for about a year now and I am still in love with it.  All needles are in their compartments according to their size and I there is no need to bend cord of the needle.

I wanted to use Anzula Oasis (DK / 8 ply; 70% Silk, 30% Camel; 375
yards) for some time now. I knew just looking at it that it will be a wonderful yarn for some textured stitch. I was right.




Reminiscent of a painting done on plaster this stitch pattern combines 
seed stitch squares and little columns of cables. At the crown seed 
stitch continues in the midst of tapering cables.

During this time away I had all kinds of things happening. It started with incredible New Year gathering of our family. We rented a huge house for a week near Los Gatos, CA and all of us had very comfortable rooms with our own bathroom. There was a gym downstairs and plenty of room to sit and do whatever.
